Pay Policies
All staff and supervisors should familiarize themselves with the Staff Compensation Policy (Policy 410) as it defines roles, responsibilities, and compensation policies.
- Exempt Employees
- Receive the same salary every pay period
- Not eligible for overtime
- Non-exempt Employees
- Paid based on hours worked in accordance with Staff Compensation Policy (Policy 410) and Time Reporting for Non-Exempt Employees (Policy 415)
- Eligible for overtime
- Refer to Policy 415 for roles, responsibilities, and time reporting practices.
- There are many time reporting resources (online guides, tips, links, and videos) available in iO through the Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) widget.
- Supervisors
- Familiarize yourself with all HR policies
- Comply with Time Reporting for Non-Exempt Employees (Policy 415) if you have hourly staff or student workers on your team.
- You can refer to the same time reporting resources as your employees.
- There is also a job aid to assist you with reviewing and approving your team’s time cards.
